Val. Day advice, Women chime in

My son has a party to go to on Fri. night. I was planning on taking the wife out to dinner that night. There is a resort down the road that is having a seafood buffet that night for $19 per person.
They have a package deal that is buffet for 2, room for the night, and breakfast for 2 for $100. I could line up someone to pick up my son and have him stay at their house for the night.
My question is should I book the package and not tell her, or should I let her in on it. A suprise would be nice and all but I know all of the "Stuff" that women think they need for the next day. I know there is no way that I could pack the make up and junk without her knowing and I wouldn't get it right anyway I'm sure.

    aw... it sure would be something if you could pack for her! all she will need is the nice new nighty you buy her and a change of clothes for the morning. don't forget the panties man!! :)

    oh, and she'll also need everything you see on her vanity! lol....

    best of wishes for a wonderful night!!! tell her that she will need an overnight bag. no big deal!

    Do it....

    Dont tell her....you could try and pack a bit for her and then buy what is needed if anything the next day...Most hotels offer shampoo, deodorant, etc with the room, so it would be a change of clothes and make up if she wears it...
    Dont forget the bottle of wine, card and a little something to munch on in the room...[;)][;)][;)]

    The make up would be the big thing. She thinks she needs it. I don't necessarily. She does look alittle better with it but I don't think that it is needed. She would only have to "look good" for breakfast though.
    We could make a mad dash out of there.[:D]

    I just know her. She worries about everything. For her to just let it go for the night I just don't know. I would like to think it would be great, I could pack the clothes she would need. I will let this go tonight and take whatever you'all say into consideration.

    Just grab whatever makeup you see on the vanity or in her make up bag....Its simple...

    Well if she has stuff in there she hasnt used for years, time for new makeup....old make up can be hazardous if used, especially round the eyes...
    Take her shopping on the way to the resort or just tell her to grab her make up...

    I am thinking that I will set up for someone to take our son home from the party and for him to spend the night.
    I will tell her Fri. night that we will drop off Will and then go out for supper and after supper there will be a room for us for the night.
    That way she can pack for it herself but it will still be a suprise.
    Whatcha think of that?

    that will be fine chief... but if you change your mind, all u need to find is her face wash, face mosterizer, foundation, and some mascara. i'll bet she has the rest of what she'd need in her purse! [;)]

    Well, I told her tonight of my plans. I told her that we would drop our son of at the party and then go to the Resort for supper. And included in the supper plans that we would stay the night.
    I told her that I had made plans for our son to come home from the party and stay the night at friends.
    She figured that I was off the hook for not getting her a card.[:D]

    Leave her a note that says pack what you need for the night that morning and nothing else. then she will have no idea what you are doing but will be ready. and you can still suprise her. just an idea.......and don't forget to have the nighty in the room ready for her[;)]

    +1 If you put old makeup under a microscope you can see micro-organisms literally wriggling and crawling around in it.

    Tell her. At least tell to prepare for to spend the night some where romantic. As far as make-up she'll have a least a maintance kit in her purse, but she'll need her foundation, mascara and chances are she'll have a few differents ones of these she uses. She'll also want her after make-up stuff, face wash, moisterizer etc.
    SHE WILL WANT TO SHAVE HER LEGS!!! so she'll need that stuff too. But more than likely she'll want to shave her legs in her own tub. If not don't forget her body wash, sponge, bath beads, bath pillow, bath oil, etc.
