    This is going to sound stupid but who cares....You posted in another thread that IF you bought a mossberg for 200 I believe it was, you would be strapped for awhile...Now you are wanting a pr of cowboy boots for 40 bucks less?????

    Sounds to me like may be you should wait on both...you dont need the boots...In all honesty you want them to "fit in" at a bar, right?....If there are second hand stores or thrift stores, check them out for a pr if you want them so bad....

    The gun will get you food in a pinch, or protect your home, your life...the boots wont...


    I know its not what you want to hear but its the first thing that came to mind when I read the other thread of yours...

    Nocona and Justin boots are both owned by Berkshire Hathaway. I was trying to find out how Warren Buffet used his money politically, but am running out of time this morning. I did see he raised a lot of money for Hillary and is planning to do the same for Obama. I know you have about decided to give up Levis over their donations, maybe someone could look up Warrens feelings on gun control?

    I honestly appreciate your thoughts, Beth. My cowboy boot research has just started, and will probably take a couple of months before I make a decision.

    I will be buying the scattergun when I get my check on Wednesday.

    But if your feet are bigger than that, I could wear big sox.

    You wouldn't want my size 11 roach stompers,......they're plumb worn out, and I actually need to put them in the trash next week!

    Elk hide might make a good boot -- soft yet tough -- but I don't kow how long they hold up. I would advise against ordering western boots from a catalog. Fitting is wierd, and normal shoe sizes mean nothing. If it's a true leather western boot, it has to be tried on. And perfect fit won't happen for several weeks after you buy them (the vamp will loosen up and the heel cup will tighten).

    Go to a boot store with employees who know their business, and try them on.

    and
    2) Twenty-something Ukranian Women.

    You never get what you think you're getting, they're usually a few sizes too big and dude, no refunds means NO refunds.

    Mine would be too big for you (size 11-1/2 and 12). Sorry.

    Edit: Doug, here are some good ones. I have a pair that I bought 12 years ago. The only thing I have had to do to them is have them re-soled. Plus, the are cheaper than the ones you are looking at.
