Price of Revolvers

Why are revolvers so much more expensive than semi-auto pistols???

  Because you can't make a revolver out of pot metal. It's easier to make a cheap semi-auto than a cheap revolver.
  
  Once you get into guns that are higher quality the prices even out.
  
  S&W 629 is about $700
  
  Sig 229 is about $700
