    Yes it is a clone.... You could buy a 91/30 for $100.00 or less and just
    add a scope to it.

    The bolt looks correct, although I am unaware of sniper configurations with the laminate stock.

    I have seen these rifles (minus laminate stock, minus mount) going for this price range. I think the price is ok, but that doesn't mean you can't find them cheaper.

    Here is what I know. I can go to a local store and buy a 91/30 for 139 regular price (prehaps under a hundred on sale IF you find it for that). Buy a bent bolt conversion kit for 50 bucks and cut off/drill your bolt (NOT what I like) or pay a gunsmith to do it. Then add the price for the type of mount you see(guessing about 50 bucks) and add gunsmith's price to mount it.
    400 Dollars don't sound so bad now does it?

    No need for all that height with the Belt bolt "handle" kit on there.

    If the Russians handled these rifles like they did the SKS's, after solid wood became scarce they replaced solid stocks with laminated when the rifle came in for a rework. On an SKS, they would also stamp a small rectangle with a diagonal through it on the right side of the stock to indicate an arsenal rework. The rifle's serial number would also be stamped on the left side. From the pictures, this is impossible to see. The seller also did not say if all parts had the same serial number stamped on them. For a rifle of this 'quality' that would be mandatory.
