duck preserve

I had some friends that went to a preserve to shoot ducks this weekend. This is the story as related to me.

They get to the preserve and go out onto a pier in the midst on an impoundment. there are 60 bazillion ducks on the water and they shoot out across to get them up. The ducks circle around and try to get back in the same pond at which point they were blasted to smithereens. The group of 4 hunters killed 60 ducks in the 1st 45mins of shooting.

My friend says the wind was blowing the dead and wounded ducks up on the shore lickity split.

The hunters never called, waded, or touched a duck. The guides picked them up and cleaned them and packaged them.

My questions are:

A) would this interest y'all in any way?
2) what do you think it cost? (I'll tell you later)
III) have any of you ever done this?

    A) Not really.

    2) Anywhere from $1500 to $3000 a gun.

    III) No, not with ducks. Did it with pheasants once. Wasn't a hunt at all, and wasn't nearly as fun as a hunt.

    A)I've had a few days like that but always on public land for free. On a private lake I would not be interested.
    2)Depends on the spot. Could be as low as $250 a gun but I bet it was closer to $750 a gun.
    III)I've never paid to do it but I've hunted places where I could have used a tennis racquet to get a limit. Why did the kill so many? Limit here is 7.

    If I found this spot in the wild I'd shoot my limit and clean my kill

    1) Not interested.
    2) TOO MUCH.
    3) I've had some great days in the So.Jersey marshes,prob. never that good (as far as killin)but way better in the knowlege that We called'em in We spread the Decs. we plucked the ducks.

    PS.I'd rather go sit-down in a Chinese restaurant, and ORDER one!![^]

    Most Duck hunts I've been on are around $150. I don't know if I would want to just shoot into a bazillion ducks....well, maybe just once in my life...maybe.

    my math is different 750.00 a gun x 4 = 3000.00 smacks for 60 ducks. 3000/60 = $50.00 per duck

    never paid to hunt on private property, and i hope the day never comes that i do![V]in all the years i`ve hunted ducks, i`ve only ever shot my bag limit once, and that was because the person i was hunting with was new to hunting and couldnt shoot them, so i gave him half my bag...we can shoot 10 a day here in the season...runs from 2nd weekend in march till 2nd weekend in may.

    Yea for me so...Why did they shoot so many?


    I figure they are jerks I want to rephrase....I think the preserve allows them to and they got excited

    I figured it was more like the goose hunts I've heard about in IL. 3 geese @ $1500 a gun, and they can cycle through 4 to 6 groups in a day.
