Don't BS them. Just tell them. I know I for one hate it when people BS me. Yeah, the truth hurts, but it hurts a lot less than being BSed and then finding out later that it was all BS.

Yeah, my kid must not need money. Otherwise he would visit. Maybe he died and I haven't found out yet.
