I know plants have feelings, but how is it you can type?

Get your sorry ass to a doctor.

Only had heartburn a few isolated times, never figured it out.

Acid reflux hit me for a 6 month stretch at night, then just stopped.

    DWS is right.

See a Doctor ASAP, don't try to diagnose & medicate yourself.

Although chest pain can be a symptom of acid reflux disease, it can also be a sign of heart disease. If you experience chest pain ... more often than on rare occasions ... I'd get it checked out by your doc.

... knew a guy once that had a pain in his ear ... doc correctly guessed it might have been a heart attack presentation. He laughed it off, it was, he died at 37, a couple of hours later. Maggie, his wife, later told us that he thought that doc was a quack and never took him seriously.

yes..get it checked...a few bucks to a dr. could save your family a lot of heart ache(no joke intended!)..i suffer with heartburn real bad, but mine is from a hiatus hernia...ive had it most of my adult life.there are a lot of medicines that settle it down real fast..a dr. will be the best one to advise you....good luck.

I get it from really greasy food, tomatoes products, and orange juice to name a few. But I noticed the biggest drop in frequency of heartburn when I quit smoking.

    Just stop eating Fruity Pebbles!

Seriously, I ate them all the time as a kid. But when I was in my late 20's, I'd get heartburn bad every time I ate them. Wasn't too hard to figure it out or to solve. Darn it, I still like 'em though!

I haven't been able to nail down the cause, but during my first, 20yr
marrage, i had severe heart burn almost constantly. It seemed certain
foods, or even scents/odors would set it off and i was eating di-gel
    like candy.
With a new partner, the same food/scents/smell have no effect, and i
    rarely even get heat burn.

I'm not suggesting that you get a new partner or anything though.lol

Some might even suggest it could be a stress issue, but i'm almost
certain that is not the case...for me anyway.[B)]

    MVP,
I get it all the time, went to the Doc's and he wanted me to go for a heart exam...Diagnosed it as a good case of ACID REFLUX!!! nothing to mess with as it could end up actually burning your esophagus...+1 on the Prilosec, a little expensive but it works, by the time you get done eating 5 - 6 bottles of Tums or Rolaids, it is worth it....
PS. the Cherry Tums are pretty good!!!!! GOOD LUCK...

Man I had the same thing, no matter what I eat or drink I would get heart burn so I thought, so I started taking tums. Mine got so bad I thought I had asthma, I would wake up at 3:00 am not being able to catch my breath. Finally went to the dock, he ran all kins of tests and told me it was acid reflux. Prescribed Prevacid, I haven't had a problem since.

Gerd. Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease. Can erode the esophagus and lead to even more serious problems. Don't wait to find out. Get it checked now. I suffered for several years before getting help. The drugs will work but are expensive.

Thanks for the Doctor advice everyone.
I don't know why I never think Doctor when something is wrong with me.

When I was 18 and my side was hurting for over a month I would just drown the pain with beer.
Finally when It hurt so bad I couldn't stand up anymore I went to the emergency room and they had me in an operating room in less than 15 minutes and after they removed my appendex they said I probably wouldn't have made it through the day. They said it was so bad it was gangreen.
