No Country for Old Men

Anyone seen it yet? Recommendations??

Previous Coen Brothers productions...Fargo; O Brother, Where Art Thou etc where classics. I think No Country For Old Men is now out on dvd and wondering if I should rent it??

    Just saw this Friday night. I liked it. It definately is dark, not too much violence (not too graphic anyway).

    Most people I talked with did not like the ending but I thought it was appropriate.

    Put it on your list!

    Just watched this last night, thought it was pretty good, but I must have missed something, when did the character "Llewellyn" played by Josh Brolin get killed? I did not see him get it!

    If you haven't seen this movie yet, GO SEE IT!!!!!!! One of the best movies I've seen in a long time. Intense, intelligent, an instantly iconic bad guy, austere, it is not what you're expecting but still VERY satisfying as a moviegoing experience.

    Just finished watching that, liked the country boy that was killed. Not sure if I understood the metaphor at the end. Anyone care to explain?

    I think this is the first positive comment I have seen about it.
    I thought it was one of the worst I have ever seen.
    Difference in opinons I guess.

    Please note my review of a couple of weeks ago.

    Not worth the first run ticket - primarily because of the last 15 minutes.

    A true downer.

    Rented the Omega Man yesterday to compare with I Am Legend. Omega man is LOTS better for adults.

    Also bought the book, which I'll giveaway when I'm done with it.

    Glad to see another intelligent movie-goer with a decent opinion of this flick. I thought it was one of the best I've seen in quite a while. I said that at my age, "happy" or even satisfying endings are not what I go to see. The journey was the pay-off--and what a journey with the ultimate villan pursued by the ultimate cop! Excellent casting; excellent story-telling; perfect setting. I'm already looking forward to the Coen brothers' next product. [^][^][^][^]
