to search hotmail for a word or phrase - or even person - in one's old email ??

ON aol you hit the mail button and go to mail search

BR here...I have hotmail, and I dont know of a way to search....are you looking for one specific email or something?...

I'm just asking in a generic sense.

As for gmail - I have thousands of hotmail emails, and more than a hundred contacts. It would be a project to move them.

If you log in and click on the folder you want to search, say Inbox, then the search bar at the top will have two buttons to the right of it one says mail the other says web. I've never used it until just now, seems to work fine.

gmail can import your contacts from hotmail, and has a ton of storage space for archiving emails.

I have tried to import from gmail and it's not easy.
