    Had Romney been the Royal Governor of Massachusetts colony in 1776 this is how he would have described the flintlock rifles that the colonials carried, as he issued orders to seize the powder magazines at Lexington.

    Remember early in the campaign when Romney announced that he was a lifelong hunter? A reporter searched the DNR records in Utah and Massachusetts and found that Romney had never had a license.
    Romney was confronted about getting caught in this lie, and he mumbled something about how he used to hunt varmints as a kid.
    What a flake.

    Does anyone know where Romney stands on gun control this week?
    I haven't heard recently, it's funny these b^*@#%ds say pro 2nd Amendment one minute, then assault weapons ban the next. Can't have it both ways!
    I thought a short time ago that maybe I might like him as a running mate for Thompson. Unless his "view" has changed, I guess not.

    He says what he thinks his audience wants to hear. But his record as MA governor is horrible for gun rights.

    So is Guiliani's record as NCY mayor and McCain is only slightly better. Paul talks about supporting the 2nd Amendment but his voting record in Congree only earned him a B rating (still better than those mentioned above).

    From my observations Huckabee is a strong supporter of gun rights and so is Thompson.

    I watched Huckabee on the Craig Ferguson show on the CBS Late Late Show that I had TiVo'd from a couple of days ago.

    He seems like a pretty solid guy, although I really wish Thompson would get off his ass.
