MINI-14 VS MINI-30

How do these compair with each other? I also am looking at buying a 30 but do not know much about them. Any information would be great. Thanks

Same rifle, two different calibers. You might want to consider local ammo costs for each caliber before choosing.

I've shot a Mini-14 and Mini-30 at 1/4 inch plate steel @20 yards. The 7.62x39 did not penetrate it, but left a larger dent. The .223 actually spauled the metal outward and slightly penetrated it leaving a 1/8 inch hole.

Like peanuts and corn in the same turd, you wonder which one has more stink. I'm glad I'm not married to my first cousin or have twice the usual number of adult teeth; I'd probably own both.
