Collectors?? P38's

I have a couple items I think may be collectors stuff. Like the P38. I dont know much about the P38 but know where it came from. From a German Officer just outside of France. Then it was stored shot very little through out its years here state side. We had the actual belt with it but cant find it in all of Grandpas stuff. There was a mag holder as well.

Also, Im interested in some points on the LE MK1 I have up. It is almost like new.
I know, I need to get a book. But its dire family time around here and have to move stuff. That and I need some room.

    I have to agree. stuff like that you should pass down and keep in the family, but sometimes greed gets the best of us all!

    That is cheap if it is all original.
    I sold a p38 bring back with original holster last year for 1100.00

    Yes its as it came. Both numbers match on th frame and rail. The holster came with it. It does not have any markings.

    LOL, I would agree in certain situations. But in this case it is not greed. Theres two of us Grand kids. And we both have plenty from Grandpa. House, farm, land. 3 large cedar chests of family hierlooms ranging from the civil war to vietnam. The P38 was put into what the family called the ok to sell box which I took a few agos for myself. I still have his Garrand which will never be for sale. Along with his 1911.
    Not greed, but something came up that is far more important.

    Sorry, I was not implying greed on your part, it was just a gerneralization!

    You're not too high starting, but in that model (byf43) four parts are serialized and you need to state if they are matching. The frame, the barrel, the slide, and the locking block.
    That is not a P.38 holster, so you need to show the back and any markings on it.
    Byf 43 is a fairly common maker and date but on auction there may be a couple of newbies fight over it.

    I doubt it...

    Everything about the numbers has been updated on the auction. As for the Holster, it was with the pistol. So I assume it came with it. Theres no markings on it.

    OK, there must have been some changes made to it long ago. The number thats under the barrel, very front thats different from the rest.
