Civil War-Era firearms Shipping

I recently inherited a collection of Civil War-era firearms. Under "How To Bid and Buy at GunBroker.com", it states that "...antique guns that were built in 1898 or earlier...do not require transfer by a licensed dealer." My local UPS Store said that they cannot ship any guns. Does that mean the only way I can ship is through a dealer?

  You can ship ups but they must go to a hub and not a local store.
  
  Also if they are muzzle loaders they are not firearms by ATF regulations!

  If they're pre-1899 you don't have to tell them they're firearms. The go by the definition of firearms under the Gun Control Act of 1968.
