Someone else has mentioned it, but that scene where they want to beat up the Klansmen, and the black guy jumps out and yells "Where all the white wommen at?" is one of the funniest scenes ever made.
Yes in 1974 Mel Brooks sprinkled the movie with the "N" word and he probably got the Oscar for it, and it was hilarious.
If a filmaker did that today he would be run out of Hollywood.

That all depends on what you mean. The quote is in fact from "Blazing Saddles" although the picture is from "Treasure of the Sierra Madre". The Mexican bandit character "Gold Hat", said: "Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges!". The line above from "Blazing Saddles" was a tribute to that earlier film.0
