Why libertarianism has failed

I was watching a man on youtube, explaining this. He was quite articulate and seemed very intelligent. It was a 30 minute long video. The last 5 minutes he finally got down to the nitty gritty of why libertarianism has failed. He said, and I will paraphrase, that it's underpinnings are based on morality, and this is a morally bankrupt society we live in. He said libertarianism asks us to give up everything immoral. Ain't gonna happen.
Makes perfectly logical sense as to it's failure.
