verona shotguns

Anyone ever heard of or used Verona shotguns? I saw one at Sportsman's Warehouse. It looked nice had a smooth action and felt solid like a Mossberg. Inexpensive, made in Turkey. Edit: BTW this one was a pump with a 20 inch bbl.

    Been looking at a Verona Golden Clays Model o&u. Looks like a winner. Only met one guy who uses one and he is one of the top shooters around. I am unfamiliar with them other than the one in the shop I handled. It fit well and has all of the things I've been looking for in a clays gun.[?]

    The automatic have been great, I have several friends shooting the auto and they love them. These will take a beating and keep on ticking, the only problem they had was the tube plug and they replace them with metal ones for under ten bucks and their still shooting. I know one that has over 2000 rounds thru it hunting and sporting clay shooting and replacing the plug and cleaning it was all.[:D][8D][:p]

    Sounds good, but to be clear, 2000 rounds isn't really very many at all, relatively speaking.

    I went clay shooting this weekend with three friends and we all traded off on one gun. This Beretta Extrema auto ate 400 shells in under three hours.

    First four or five rounds didn't eject right. . .that's because the gun had never been shot before and needed breaking in. Next 396 performed flawlessly.

    I had a verona O/U 12 guage that was TOO LIGHT. Kicked like grandpa's mule.

    It was a beautiful shotgun though but I just got away from the pretty ones and am shooting nothing but my trusty and shabby old model 11s.

    They are very good guns for the money and not all of them are inexpensive. I shot an O&U Clays model for a while that was close to $2000 used. It was as good as any of my Brownings while I had it, but I don't know if it would last as long. Some of my Brownings have more than 20,000 rounds through them and still are as tight as can be.
