Anybody ever run one ?

There was this grinder, see..on an auction. It stayed at .99 CENTS for days and days.
I called the man, was taken from a machine shop that they bought out..up and running.
Has profile cams, collets..a ton of tooling.

Got near the end of the auction and the bid was,like, 5 bucks...so I threw in ,like, 50 bucks.....

So now I get to drive 300 miles and pick it up. I don't even know what it is...[:D] 'Cept that the man told me I can grind out ball-end milling cutters on it...or nearly whatever my little heart desires...which will be chamber reamers, hopefully...

I generally don't buy a pig in a poke..'specially when I don't think I have ever even SEEN one...but what is a fella to do ? I never expected to 'get lucky'..and at my time of life...another machine is exciting.

    Just get it and "make stuff" with it. Sounds like either a neat toy or a money maker. Depends on how you go about it.

    I am presently engaged in designing a better mousetrap...I hope.

    Never been excited about collimaters..sticking that steel spud down a bore that shoots 1/2 groups gives me the willies.

    I am making one that clamps on the barrel, with a sliding rod that will enable me to find the exact height of the scope above the bore...and allow for the 50 and 56 MM objectives.
