Closest I ever came was "I think I'm pregnant."

My WIFE (I never was irresponsible/immature/stupid enough to have this conversation with a girlfriend) just showed me the pregnancy test thing with the first one. With the second, she came from the doctor's office in tears after a routine exam. She thought I would be mad, but I was thrilled.

I remember distinctly! I woke up one morning and there she was with a cup of coffee for me! First thing I asked was "What's wrong!" ...She told me!

my first wife told me she was preggers on Halloween Oct31 1969, we got married on dec7, 1969 (Yep Pearl harbor day)(omen maybe)and my daughter was born on oct12 1970.
Even the doctor noted that it was a overlong gestation for a human.
but the damn fool tried to convince me that it was possible. Yea right.

    Our second was planned.

I was offshore on a Ensco jackup drilling rig. I was extremely tired due to us being stuck in the hole and had been up for 3 days with no sleep. Heard my name over the loud speaker to head up to the company mans office and he handed me the phone when I got there. She broke the news and suddenly I was not sleepy a bit. Best wake up remedy I've ever recieved haha.

"Text" is not a verb. There is no past tense.

Possibly, you could use a phrase like: "She sent me a text", which would be the way people talk.

My first wife never told me she was pregnant. I found out when Steve was 6 weeks old.

She was a (guess what??) redhead.

    They are all nuts.

I was on GunBroker, shopping for some ridiculous Howdah and said "I ought to just get the Smith 500"

    She said, "Yeah. About that.
You ought to be thinking about formula and diapers instead"

    Romantic little vixen.

The wife called for me to come to the bathroom. She pointed to the pregnancy test on the side of the bathtub.
