Does this seller deserve good feedback?
Your opinion, please.
Bought a handgun on GB for BIY price on New Year's Day. On January 2, I mailed (Priority Mail) a Certified Bank check ($580.00)with a copy of my local dealer's license. Seller deposited the check on January 4 and stated he would wait until it cleared. Certified check----OK---his decision. I checked with my bank and it cleared on Wednesday, January 9 (last week). Yesterday (January 14), he advised me it would likely ship today. Still no word that it did. It took me 3 emails just to get the serial number.
This seller has a 97% positive feedback record (rated A+); but, his delay in shipping this handgun has really hacked me off.

Why should a buyer have to leave feedback first? I don't play that crap. When I sell, I leave feedback when I get the bucks, after all, the buyer has fulfilled his obligation.
If he doesn't leave you any, piss on him. Don't leave him feedback and don't buy from him again.
It should go without saying if you don't get your package, that's an automatic "F"0 -
It about average shipping time. I, like you, would like to see things go a little quicker, but they just don't seem to. 0 -

I bought some mags Dec 11th money is still waiting to be accepted in my paypal account.He has never taken the money, or replied to my emails. I even told him to give me his address and I would mail him a check and he hasn't responded. I got a real good price on them and I think he doesn't want to sell them for what I won them for.
Now if I leave bad feedback he in return will do the same and ruin my rating. So I feel it is better to not do anything but cancel the payment.
Until they redo the feedback system this is unfortunately the way it happens[:(!]0 -
Your seller probably got stung once or twice before and is just; excuse the expression, gun-shy. When I have sold items here I've always called the bank to verifiy the check clearing before shipping. Trust me, just because the check looks official is no reason to except it like cash, in my office I have copies and listings of nearly $5,000,000 in counterfeit official checks issued on my bank in the past year. If you are satisfied with the gun when you receive it you should give positive feed-back. 0 -
I will add that some high volume sellers will list pistols they do not have in stock and if it sells they will add it to their next order and will stall until they have it in hand and are able to ship.
I am not saying this is right or even a good practice, but I know it is done.0 -

Last sale, I stated United State Postal Money Order Only
I get a no name money order, crumpled, from a no-name gas station in the desert.
So I ask the guy about the money order, and he said he had to get someone to get it for him.
I tell him he can wait three weeks for it to clear, or mail the correct one, and I'll mail his
Mickey Mouse Money Order back to him.
Anyway, I waited three and a half weeks to make sure it cleared.
The whole idea with small amounts is to cash it, get the money in Yankee Dollars,
and then mail the merchandise to the customer.0 -
Had a few of those deals happen to me,it may be his bank is holding back alittle longer, you cannot control it, wait a few days then find a phone # for him 0 -

If he does not accept the payment, and you are concerned with a negative feedback just wait until the 89th day and leave negative on him. Unless he sees it that day he can't leave negactive on you [}:)]0 -
Bought one about the same time Dan Wesson Pistol Pack $700. Got lazy paid by check. Mine is on the way as the my seller was checking his account and knew it cleared. Has been great with keeping me informed with e-mails.

if you get the item and are satisfied with it, he deserves positive feedback. however, positive doesnt mean perfect. people seem to be dead set on either a+ or f. maybe in your opinion he deserves a b+/-, or maybe even a c. and then explain it. something to the effect of " item as described. shipping/handling was slow and communication could be improved but all in all an acceptable transaction. B-" no need to crucify the guy but speak your mind. 0 -

Wonder why this is not locked. I ask about what people feel if you win an auction and the seller puts your item on Backorder. But this one asks directly about giving feed back should not this one too be locked like mine was. 0 -

PayPal can go suck worms. If I choose to use PayPal it is simply for convenience and I don't note in the transaction what specifically the payment is for. I simply list "merchandise". If the sale goes south and the seller does not send you the goods, PayPal is the last bunch I'd be going to to try to get my money back anyway. I would probably pay the seller a visit since I have approximately one million unused air miles.
Anyway, to get to your point: How Will You Score This Seller?
Given what you said, I personally would not leave feedback unless the seller does. Period. He probably will not leave feedback anyway, given his sloppy, lacadaisacal attitude toward his business dealings with you. If he contacts you asking for feedback, tell him you don't leave feedback until you receive it. No need to explain anything other than that.
Once he does leave feedback for you, I don't think, given your description of the transaction and whether he commits other transgressions along the way, that he's worth anything more than a C+ unless the merchandise is considerably better than you expected, in which case he should get another letter grade higher.0 -
i wouldn't get to worked up over it.you never know what all might be going on.he could have a certian day he ships or maybe he is over worked who knows what might be going on at his side of things.if he ships it in a timlely matter and your happy.??? 0 -
