Just kicking around the same ol' idea...
As many of you know, or not, I'm a black powder person. I like black powder firearms, I like the mechanics of them, I like the smoke, I like the feel, I like wheel guns. What can I say.
That aside, from time to time I think of picking up a more 'modern' firearm. For me that's anything manufactured in the 20th century.
I did at one time give in to this urge and purchased a CZ 70, 32 cal. Nice pistol but too small for my hands. Yea, my hands are big, I stand 6'-2 and weigh in at well over 230. Perhaps it wasn't 'too' small but it may be I'm just used to the feel of BP revolver grips. At any rate I sold it after a short while.
So lately I've again been beating around an idea in my head to purchase a Star 9mm, model B or BM I'm not sure. (I think that's right.) A little larger than the CZ 70 but still not 'too' large.
I like the look and feel of it. I know everyone has their favorite and everyone has an opinion, (those are like buttholes, we all have one and most of the time they stink). What is your opinion of this firearm, have you fired one, did you like the feel, was it accurate at a reasonable range. etc. etc. etc. ad nauseum.

You can't go wrong with the Star BM. Inexpensive, reliable, sweet trigger. Biggest complaint, mag only holds 8 . Good reason to buy two. 0 -
No experience with the Star 9mm, but I like the 1911's. If you already like it, you'll probably like it after you get one. 0 -

Have you tried a C&R Tokarev TT pistol? It's fun, punchy, and the gun and enough ammo for a decade would only set you back a couple hundred bucks.

I think that's what Classic is trying to convince me of right now. Have to look for them to see what's what when I go to the Atlanta gunshow tomorrow.0
