Watched it. We've seen every episode. Love the show. Actors are great. Personalities are great and occasionally a little dry humor if you're paying attention. Got hooked on the first episode.
I think this is the last season. What's going on on the island is slowly catching up with what they've shown happening in the future.
So it's like you want to watch it twice as bad because you know where they've been, where they are currently, and where they're at later on in the future. This episode told us that only 6 make it back off the island, so you don't know if the rest stay behind and survive or if they get killed. You have to watch the next episodes to figure out what happened in between.
Definately one of the more entertaining shows they've had on in a long time. Two thumbs up. [:D]

Saw a SKS that Sayeed carried and tonight I thought I saw what looked like an STG58 or something like it. I think it had a carry handle. 0 -
First season were a lot of Sigs...that morphed into Berettas, somehow...must be the magic black smoke that replaced 'em when everyone was asleep...
I know Sayid throws a FAL to Sawyer in tonight's episode...there was also a Chinese (OK, not certain it was Chinese, but it had a spike bayonet) SKS being toted around a lot; one of the Others had a M14/M1A on the season 3 finale...there was a HK SR9 in the hatch's armory is season 2...0 -

Sounded to me like only 6 people leave the island. All that talk about "we've got to go back" and such, maybe they're not dead, just left there?
As for an assessment of last night's season premier episode - what happens when the writers go on strike? NOTHING. I don't know any more about what's going on today than I did yesterday.0 -
I believe Sayid liberated a Lee-Enfield of some sort (#5 jungle carbine?) from the crazed French woman in either the first or second season. I haven't watched it in at least a couple of years. I liked it from the start -- there were some amusing gun mistakes/misuses here and there, but I picked up on an overall attitude that the good guys need to be armed at least as well as the bad ones -- in other words, that guns are simple tools that good people have every reason and right to have and to use when the need arises.
I just find it hard to watch TV on a regular basis. In fact I haven't had mine on, other than to watch a DVD, in well over a year.0 -
