REM 700

When i was at the walmart picking up prescriptions, when that idiot lady made the hillary comment, i stopped at the Gun desk. I hate walmarts gun desk, everything is soo far back from the counter, you cant look at them, and all the ammo is behind the desk so you have to ask them about each caliber, what they have, how much it is, etc...

Anyways, i thought i saw a rem 700 for 549.00 Maybe 30-06, but wasnt sure as i didnt want to ask the lady, just wanted to browse. Are there brand new Rem 700s for 549 or was i mistaken?

    Went back to the Wallyword to see if there was a different guy at the gun counter. There was! I asked about the REM 700 i tlaked about in the previous post. Its a synthetic stock, 30-06, with a bushnell scope, 349 for it. He also had a 700 with a wooden stock, no scope for 559. Im thinking about maybe getting the one with the scope later this month or next month.

    the last time i knew wally had the 700 adl synthetic stock no hinge plate blind magazine.it was replaced by the 700 sps 2 years ago or maybe 3.anyway i have the adl in 22-250 and 243 and they are both find shooters. if you want a 700 and on a budget it is the way to go.

    I checked late last week on the price of a 700 BDL at our local Wally and the guy said they could order it for a little over $700.00. I had no intentiion of buying from them but if I had, I dont need another Remington rifle caliber I probably already have for that kind of money. I was really checking for another .308 but a long action.

    The ADL action is what the gunsmith will recommend for a serious build. The action on a rem700 is worth $350 every day of the week,...sell the parts and be ahead of the game. MHO

    Just make darned sure it is a 700. Not 710 or any other assortment of numbers. 700
