Rifle designed and made?
I was wondering if any of you have ever had a rifle or handgun designed based on specification you sent to a major gun manufacturer?
For me, the answer is yes, the company that made it was Browning. Sadly it was only made for about 3 years. It was the predecessor to Browning's M-1000 Eclipse.
One of my good friends worked on the designed with Ruger on the MONTADO, in 45 Long Colt for mounted shooters.
I was just wondering if anyone else had some similar experiences with gun companies that they would like to share.

Bob Weaver, who designed and manufactured the Weaver Nighthawk 9mm carbine in the mid-80's, is a good friend of mine who lives in nearby Clark Fork. The nightmares he has related about getting a gun from design to production is enough for me never to give it even a passing thought. 0
