Track integrity issues? Seriously? I expect this nonsense at my Saturday night dirt track, which runs every weekend, not at Daytona, the supposed cathedral of speed, which runs,what, three weekends a year.

    Just got off the phone with our insurance agent. We are getting insurance papers worked up on the house we are buying and I had our banker fax a copy of the appraisil to our agent. I haven't gotten a chance to look over the appraisil yet, but it states the cost of rebuilding to be $116,000! We are talking about a home built in 1901 with good ole' solid materials. Complete block exterior from the foundation up, 2 stories, full basement, 2 car detached garage. Anyways, our agent's figures ran around $240,000, so we are talking twice as much and then some. What the heck is going on here? Hopefully just a simple error in math somewhere, but that makes no sense whatsoever.

    He's okay in my book. I've even had my exchanges with him from time to time (especially back in the HAIRY regime...or do I dare mention his name). Seems to be the "voice of reason" around here from time to time.
