    i saw your previos post, but didnt really pay attention. for some reason, this one caught my eye. they were in fact BANNED from sale in 1988. i dont know if that only applies to stores or regular folkk as well but i figured i'd let ya know.

    EDIT: ok so i know nobody really cares about canada, but further reading specifically prohibits the sale of lawn darts by private citizens(ie yard sales etc).

    so specific fines are mentioned for any of this, just though id pass it along

    Like I mentioned in your other thread - advertise and sell the target rings. Show the entire set in the photo but don't mention the darts in the text.

    IMO you might do a lot better on the final bid if you start at like $2 instead of $25 but then you might not.

    My inlaws have a set of these. They are a freakin blast. They have about 4 acres of open grass. We'll do a big BBQ and toss these darts about 150-200' into hula-hoops.

    I used to sell these on ebay, and would get anywhere from $45 to $120 a set !!

    Then, ebay, trying to save us from ourselves, banned the recalled toys.

    The ban, was to stop manufacture, I read at one jart club site, where a guy called the police he was going to be drinking beer and playing jarts in his front yard, and wanted them to charge him if he was in fact breaking a law. He would take that charge and form a court case. Sounds good, but low and behold, the cop drove by slow and never stopped. I mean, who really enforces this crap?

    Because one or two dim witts didn't have enough brain power to stand clear of the rings and got hit, we all suffer.

    I say, if someone is dumb enough to get hit by one, that is just natural selection, survival of the fittest .... and smartest.

    It was CPSC rules that disallowed new production and sale.

    "Pre-ban" ones are still legal to own, and sell privately, but not commercially...I guess. You see whole sites devoted to selling component parts.

    If you put them at $2 as stated before I will bid them up. But to start them 25 with 15 shipping I don't see me spending over $40 for them with half of that being shipping. I would like to get them but not at that cost.
