Best buy for 7.62 X 39

With the price changes...which of you folks know the best place to purchase 1000 (or so) rds of 7.62 X 39? I know there are many sellers but I just don't know the best deal.

    I saw $194, but $169 is still much better.

    Also check Ammoman.com think it was 199 but that included shipping most of the others you will need to add that and its at least 30.

    I get mine from Cabelas. They add in the free ammo boxes but they are not really free. They push up the price some but after you subtract the cost of the boxes ($14.99 each) the ammo is the cheapest you can find. That would be the Wolf Mil Classic I am talking about. Everywhere else is around $200 for 1000 rounds now, and no ammo boxes with that.

    Again Ammoman is the cheapest got mine (I was Wrong) for $189 per 1000.

    Just checked Cabelas and it will run 219.99+ 14.95 shipping.

    So watch those shipping charges.

    most all at the gun store here are $5-$7 box 20 7.62x39, i was lucky enough to find 1135 rounds for $150, missed some 223 900 rounds guy wanted $50, my buddy was toooooo slow to call me[:(]

    A quick tip, if not too late, buy FMJ if your shooting it out of an AK. The HP wolf has a habit of jaming AK's.

    I prefer the Golden Tiger FMJ with the green laquered cases but looks like AIM Surplus is out of it.

    Got a nice grouping with it out of my Romanian G kit I built.
