  Never heard of one being offered. Either he is confused or the seller has modified a normal 10/22.

  My guess is that it is a modified 10/22, There are kits out there that allow you to shoot shorts in it.
  
  To the best of my knowledge ruger never offered a 10/22 that was chambered in 22 short.
