Pic of my new garage

Tonight wife can put her car in the garage on the house. 27' X 40' x 12' tall. Stick built 2x6 walls. Vinyl and shingles match our home. Only thing left to do is gutters which should be on by monday and finish concrete ramp and step out in front.

    Nice job! I could use one just like it. So all the **** in the real garage can come out.

    Gutters? What are those? If you had the foresight to live where there's no rain, then you wouldn't need them.

    Bingo.. on the lift. Already have the concrete pillars under the floor [:D] No need for any garage door over 8' tall. Always someone complaining how they would do it differently.[:D] This is a 6 car garage. The 3 car garage is attached to the house.




    If I was going with a lift I would have used a different pitch on the roof to give me more head space inside.

    Nice looking garage though you know we had to give you some grief[;)]

    4/12 pitch roof. Regardless of pitch the standard trusses sit on the outside walls. 12' is about the minimum for a lift. Lifts have locks at usually 68" or 72" or higher. If you add the vehicle height and the lock height you get close to the trusses. My truck is 7'1" ( 85" ) add the 68" and you get 12' 9" . So I need a larger door ? My Corvette is 45" tall plus the 72" = 9' 9"

    Never seen a vehicle fall from a 4 post lift. I have seen them fall from a 2 poster. Not pretty.
