Ribs are killing me
Can't sleep, sit up, breathe or do anything. Looks like it's just going to be this way for a few weeks.

...Danny, if it weren't for bad luck, you'd have none at all. Like some others said, everything seems to somehow connect to the ribs. When you lay down, try a couple pillows under your knees.
...You know as much about meds as any of us. Don't be in agony if you don't have to. Best wishes to you and Sandy.0 -
I've had several good injuries in my life, but none of them hurt worse than the ribs.
Try to avoid coughing, sneezing, laughing, crying, getting out of bed, getting into bed, sitting down, standing up, taking off your shirt, putting on your shirt, walking or crapping.
That worked for me...0 -
Tap,
This wasn't bad luck, it was stupidity. I felt the ladder shift and could have stopped and repositioned it. Instead, I thought, "just one more little nudge and I'll have it." I had it alright!
Look up "idiot" in the dictionary, and you'll see a picture of me on that ladder next to it!
Dang this hurts![V]0 -
I've had cracked ribs and agree it hurts when you do anything at all, even breathe.
My one word of advice-Percodan. It stops the pain much better than any of the Hydrocodone stuff but doesn't make you just sit around and atrophy. I've had to take the Vicodin stuff for a week or two and after the first few days just about had to wear a bib to catch the drool.
There's a reason it's name sounds like a super-hero. [:D]0 -

Simple statement, sneezing is voluntary, and I'm not volunteering![xx(]0 -
I too have been there and done that. Brings back bad memories involving ladder, beer sign, workbench, and some terrible cracked ribs.[:(][:(][:(] 0 -
I know this guy who fell backwards loading a Corvette on a trailer. IN fact it has been 6m the 14th it happened. Ribs are still tender. 0
