    They are made in Texas.

    I was thinking of a Yamaha.

    Saw one on Fleabay with a Yamaha Phazer 488cc snowmobile engine. [:D]

    I never thought about putting a snowmobile engine in a golf cart, but I like the idea.

    Have a yamaha that i use all the time here,i use it in my back 40 as its has more room then my 4 wheeler to hual things,has flip rear seat that converts to a flat surface goes bout 20 mph when i want it too and my lady friend loves to drive it!has sterio and gps in it also.If you intend to use it a lot and any distance at all get a gas job.Thanks,Paul

    I have a EZ GO and it's great nothing fancy just fixed up to go sporting clay shooting and hunting. It's just belt driven but you would be surprised where it will go and runs on very little gas.

    When my across the back fence neighbor got too old and in poor health to ride a horse he bought one of those six wheel John Deer vehicles to ride fence. His was a little longer and lower to the ground than sarge's vehicle, but the same idea.

    Since he died his nephew has used it to ride fence. I don't think either one of them ever got it stuck.

    I have both a "battle" golf cart and an "assault" golf cart. My "battle" golf cart is for 18 hole games and long fairway courses; my "assault" golf cart has less power and is at its best on putting greens and 9 hole games. The Sturmgecart was the first "assault" golf cart.

    I road in a "Mule" at a buddy's farm a few months back. I can't remember if it was built by Polaris or Kawasaki, but it was a handy little ride!

    I convinced my dad who's now 80 to buy one four years ago. He has 46 acres of pine trees that he and mom love to drive the "buggy" through. He mentioned last time I was home he wished he had bought years sooner.

    His is an 2wd electric Club Car. It has the lift kit and big tires. He likes the electric because it's quiet and he often is able to sneak up on the wildlife.

    $2,500 for a 2001 at a gulf course down in Morton. (about 2 hours away)
    I could buy the lift kit, flotation tires later and back seat later, but I don't think that price is out of line.

    I like the Assault Cart idea. Juniper Green. Black rims.


    I don't want to spend the money just yet and she's the one that wants it. Negotiation is key.

    Heff..Polaris makes the "mule." Nice rigs, but kinda pricey. Dad has a JD "Gator", the 6-wheeled version. It has the same motor that Yamaha uses in their golf carts. Belt driven. Lots of fun, and nice to have on the farm. He did install a hydraulic pump on it to raise the dump bed. Helps a lot.

    Kawasaki makes the mule. And the John Deere gators all use Kawasaki engines- from the little 2 wheel drive all the way up, with the exception of their diesel ones.

    My GULF cart is a 17 1/2' Starline with a 70 hp Evenrude but it never sees the GULF, only lakes and rivers.

    I got a 1968 Harley Davidson 3 wheeled cart that I use to haul firewood and general "stuff" as needed.No mounted guns,no lift kit just a neat little cart. $500.00 well spent[:D]

    We have lots here at work - college campus. THe electric ones are OK, but leave power to be desired for hills, etc. Also, the batteries need replacing every so often...

    Just for giggles, have you considered a VW Bug with no body, etc. on it - just a drivable pan? Very cheap, simple to work on, etc.

    I have two. One is San Diego and one in Idaho. Both were bought as junkers and rebuilt and repainted by me. Both are EZ-Go 36 volt all electric.

    My opinion is that they are worth their weight in peanut butter. I could not have gotten around and got the amount of work done without them. I have trailers and tool baskets, and for one I have a gun rack.
