Problem with pics in auction.

All right ladies and gentlemen, I finally got a couple auctions up. I have just one problem. Last night the pictures where showing up just fine. Today, just so happens after some bids where placed, the pictures are not showing up right. I uploaded them using a URL from a photo sharing web site I use. Any ideas?

And yes I know a lot of you don't like Reserve auctions but since I don't know what shipping is exactly I am getting a idea of what people are willing to pay for these items.

Thanks for any help on the picture issue.

    Really? I keep getting a little square box with a line through it. I have also received a couple emails about this. Thats how I found out about it.

    Pics didn't work for me either. The preview small pic would work, but not the four you had listed after the description.

    Follow-up: However, if I right-clicked on the pic and did "View Image" it would open up for me. Not sure why they didn't automatically show.

    I'm confused. They worked, now they don't. I wrote GB. Don't know how much that is going to help the situation.

    You are hotlinking to a picture service that blocks hotlinking. Many picture services do not support hotlinking. It is not a GunBroker problem.

    So what do you suggest I do? Just add the same pictures but use the ones I have saved on my cumputer?

    Use photobucket.com.

    I'm not sure what a hotlink is, but I would just use www.photobucket.com or www.tinypic.com. There is something else strange about you photos. When I "Save Picture" on your thumbnail, both thumbnails save the same photo.

    If you can delete all pictures and start over (using photobucket or tinypic), that is what I would recommend. What you have now is Auction 90919922 shows the photos for Auction 90921137 and the thumbnail for 90919922, and Auction 90921137 only has the thumbnail.

    Auction # 90919922 showed up fine.
    The other was a wash out.

    Try using Photo Bucket to up load your photos instead of the one you are now using.

    Hint Once you do get the photos posted on your auction. Do not go back to the hosting site and move or delete them. For the URL will no longer work that you used and only red X boxes will show up..

    Hint #2 Keep the photos on the hosting site until at least the buyer gets the goods and is happy with the purchase. If the goods gets damaged during shipment or it was not what was advertised. You will have the photos to prove the item that you sold was what they bought.

    On Auction 90919922 I get a thumbnail of the Intratec Tec-9 at the top of the page and 4 red x's and 4 pictures of the Ruger P345K .45 ACP.

    On Auction 90921137 I get a thumbnail of the Ruger P345K .45 ACP at the top of the page and 4 red x's.

    Since you have bids on both, I don't know if you can do it, but if you can, I recommend you delete all pictures and start over from step one. If you can't do that, I would edit the narrative to explain what happened and post additional pictures from photobucket.

    Ended auctions, and relisted. I totally messed up and uploaded the ruger pics to the intratec auction after trying to add photos that worked[:o)] Contacted all the bidders (which were NR) and let them know of the relist[B)]

    Pit: givette here. I think you can transfer pics directly from your computer to your auction listing. Try it. In a prior post about a year ago, someone said it works.

    On the GB forums, you have to use a hosting website. Joe

    I have posted pics from my own files without any problem on the auction.

    Hello I load pictures on Items I sell straight from my computer I really dont want my pictures on Photo bucket for the world to see. I can't see why GUNBROKER can't use the same software to down load pictures on auctions and Forum . I never post pictures on forums just to members that contact me on member profile. Sorry about the rant
