    Another LEO loses his life for a no-knock warrant......very sad.
    No-knocks should be used as last resort for violent/armed criminals, and only if they VERIFY the person is actually THERE when the warrant is served.
    Just several weeks ago, local SWAT, also here in Tidewater, no-knocked the WRONG HOUSE! Caused lots of damage, not to mention embarassment and stress to the homeowner. Wrong info given again and acted on before verifying.
    A no-knock for pot, on the un-verified tip of an "informant", is irresponsible procedure that will continue to get good cops killed. For a POT HEAD??
    Serious scrutiny needs to be given to the procedures in place for obtaining and serving these type of warrants. The more they use these, the more cops will die needlessly.
    Soon they'll be issuing no-knocks for overdue traffic tickets!

    a no-knock warrant for a pot grower????? what a waste of my tax dollars and a good man's life.[V] I see it says "an undisclosed amount" of marijuana,......that tells me they probably only found a few plants he was trying to grow for himself. Let's face it,....any REAL amount of pot would have stunk soo bad the neighbors could smell it for several houses down on either side.

    They should spend their time rousting the corner standing leeches who most often have something narcotic on them or a warrant.[8]
