Bushnell Elite 6500 series

They are in the new Cabela's Catalog.

Seem pretty nice. Of Course you're getting into VX-III, Signature Select, and beyond Monarch Price ranges.

2.5-16x42 scope could prove to be pretty useful.

    I have never thought bushnell to be a top of the line scope, at those price's they think it is.

    Actually my experience with Bushnell is that they provide very good quality optics and durability for the price range. I am still using a Bushnell bino from the 70's and they are still good. They don't have todays coatings, but they have good glass and a focus lever under my right thumb ("Insta-focus") I love. I have also had good service from every Bushnell scope I have had from my poorer days. That said, I would go with Burris Signature Select.

    IMHO a Bushnell 4200 is every bit as good as a Leupold VX III, Zeiss Conquest or Nikon Monarch

    Looking forward to picking up one of these 6500's

    I still have a 12 year old Sportview on my shotgun. It has held up to being beaten around the woods on both my former Marlin 336 and on it's current home, my Winchester 1200. It has held up to the recoil of both these firearms and is still as clear as the day I bought it. Say what you want, Bushnell makes a great quality scope for the money.

    I think they are way too optimistic with their new pricing,...the elites are nice,..but they aren't THAT nice. I'll take a Burris Tactical or used IOR/Leupy Tactical or LR for that kind of money.
