Do you feel safer with More?

I just got rid of a New Model Browning High Power that had so many safeties on it I never could figure out how to fire the thing without flipping three + safety switches.

Do you feel safer with several safeties on your pistol, or do you feel safer knowing proper gun handling?

    I do not care for trigger based safties on a carry gun, I prefer a thumb safety or a decocker. On a target gun I do not see a reason for a safety.

    1 is required and 1 is enough.

    A well designed safety: flicks easily, instantaneously, and naturally into firing position with the natural movement of the finger and anti-natural movement of the hand. Bolt turning, button pushing, knob twisting features are antiproductive and dangerous at best.

    I think guns need only 1 safety that is education, I read stories about people shooting themselves or someone else while cleaning there gun, or any other accidental firing, total B/S, if you own a gun you should be able to take it apart in your sleep. If your not ready to shoot keep your finger off the trigger. safteys are for people who in all honesty probably not have guns in the first place.

    1 safety is enough. Proper firearm handling will take care of the rest.
