Random Drug tests
Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test, with which i have no problem. What I do have a problem with, is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pas a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them???
I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do have a problem with helping someone sit on their ASS, doing drugs, while I work.
Think about how much money the government would save if you had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check!!!!

While I agree with the concept of your post. I have a problem with the initial requirement. If someone tells me to pee in a jar, I'll tell them to go pee up a rope.
Their choice to require it for employment, my choice to find another job.
And NO, I would have NO problem PASSING a pee test.0 -
Whenever I start to get angry about my money being spent on social services, I start to think about how much tax money is being given to corporations in the way of writeoffs, bailouts, pork, etc. Just think of the trillions that are going down the rathole that is Iraq, think about the extravagant pensions and benefits given to elected officials, think about how politicians lie and steal from us every day. There's so much to be upset about from so many different directions, I think I'll just work, make a little money and mind my own business. Sort of. 0 -

i don't think there should be money for free in the first place, but if we do have to give it out, there should definitely NOT be piss tests as a prerequisite. whatever happened to public works projects? couldn't we have the people on welfare do something to earn the money? fix roads, clean parks, etc?
