Winter sucks!

But so does summer. Too damn hot! I'm an old fart and I want everything to be just right. I much prefer spring and fall.

    Well, it's 76' now...and it's "winter".

    I headed to Tampa,FL (road trip) in less than a hour.
    Looks like the lows for Tampa will be in the 40's.[:p]

    I agree...summer sucks.

    The coldest weather I've been in was eighty below zero Fahrenheit in an eighty knot wind, but the coldest I ever perceived was standing on the D & S Piers in Newport, Rhode Island in February 1964.

    It was almost 50 here last week. My son and I are headed out to hunt at noon today and it is 13 out with a 20 MPH wind. But hunting in cold weather is better than not hunting at all....[:)]

    Over the couse of my life I have been out in temps ranging from 118 down to -22. They call this the temperate zone.

    I like having discernable seasons. Glad they aren't so long you get tired of them. Unfortunately, in NW Wyoming three of the four seasons involve snowfall. Sometimes all four. The other day we had a minus 17 windchill factor, and I was mighty glad I work indoors.

    Right now we have -22 air temp with wind chill -42. It is going to get colder over the weekend.

    I used to love winter and the cold. I turned fifty last October and it suddenly hit me, this cold s--ks!!!

    MAN!! U must be FREEZING!! I just looked,and it's 88F here, in the sun!!82 in the Shade..[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D] Wife had the AC on all night last night, trying to keep it under 78 in the house.Not so much to stay cool, but to get the humidity below 90%.

    I'll have to be the odd man out. I perfer winter, no ticks, no tourists, and no sweat. For us winter hikers, this is wonderful.
