I am sober

Permanently deleted user
Saturday night and I am sober. This has not happened in the last 10 years many times. Trying to cut back big time, starting to affect my health.

    Just joking. Sobriety is a worthwhile accomplishment for those of us who think we need it.

    i seldom drink just not my thing i guess, but have a friend that i have known since we was knee high to a bug has got a very bad problem with the booze....he is plowed all the time....not good!

    After years of daily heavy drinking, I took my last 14 days ago. I cannot believe how clear headed and happy I have already become. It is worth it if you think you are losing control. Good Luck....oh yeah, its a hell of a lot easier getting to the stand in morning too.

    Sixteen years this past March. I didn't quit with any long-term plan or intent other than staying alive, which I wouldn't have if I'd kept at it. In other words, I didn't simply decide, "I'll quit for good." I stopped one day at a time. When a day seems like it's going to be too tough you stop for an hour. Whatever it takes.

    Good luck. Hit AA if your desire to stay stopped needs some reinforcement.
