Are any of you... (computer help needed)

...certified Microsoft dealers/service people? I have a missing RunDll file, and I was wondering if anyone can help me replace it.

Here's the file:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\ahcadohx.dll

    That's not a valid Microsoft file, Zulu. What program is telling you that you are missing it? That looks to be a virus or other malware. Run Spy-bot, Ad-aware, etc and clean your system.

    It's a Windows alert box that pops up at system startup. I've run all of those programs and then some, and have tried reinstalling windows with the recovery CD and still nothing.

    It sounds fishy to me too. MCSA etc here. Are you experiencing any other issues? In fact if you run a Google search the only reference to this file is your posting on another forum [:D] Grisoft AVG is great anti-virus software and it is free.

    I run AVG spyware and antivirus. I also have spybot, and regcure. Nothing is affected by that file missing, but that pop-up box at startup is irritating.

    Doesn't show to be a windows DLL file. Run MSCONFIG and cancel what ever is running in start up that uses it.

    Have you recently deleted any programs? Did you use the packaged uninstaller or add/remove programs or just delete the program files?
