Gun Scrubber

I just read the label on a can of BIRCHWOOD CASEY Gun Scrubber. It says "WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer."

Thank God I live in Virginia.

    Can gun scrubber be used to clean polymer guns ( S&W M&P, Glock)? It says on the can that it can be harmful to some plastics.

    My last 2 cans of Birchwood Casey Gun Scrubber have ran out of aerosol while the cans are still about 1/2 full. I like this stuff, but who can afford to waste 1/2 can when it is plenty pricey in the first place?

    Get the "synthetic safe" Gun Scrubber.

    I can't say for sure but I bet I've gotten some on my XD and my Kel-tec without a problem. When in doubt, test a little bit of it somewhere hidden from view, and see if if damages the finish.

    I'm not really sure why you would intentionally spray gun scrubber on any of the polymer parts as in my experience a dry rag will wipe them clean.

    I didn't know that they made a synthetic safe form of gun scrubber. I'll check it out. Thanks!

    My reasoning for wanting to use gun scrubber on my polymer framed handguns is to thoroughly clean the parts housed in the polymer frame. Using q-tips and rags will only partially clean those areas. The other solution is to completely disassemble the pistol frame and remove the dirty parts and clean them. I do this every so often, but the gun scrubber does an excellent job on my other guns, I wanted to use it on my polymer firearms also.

    Gunzilla BC10 is hard to beat.

    I obtained a bottle about 2 years ago and used it off and on.
    I started noticing how well it cleaned and and also how gentle it is on the firearm and myself compared to other cleaners.
    Now it is what I grab everytime.

    This stuff works. Especially for cleaning on the older antique type firearms.

    I use gun scrubber on trigger groups in my shotguns, I remove em first although the can says safe for all finishes..Wonder if I got some on one of my pretty stocks and it ruined it would they replace it..???????????

    GunScrubber won't harm Glock polymer.

    However, be careful with liberal use if your pistol has Trijicon or Meprolight sights. This caution is offered in their accompanying literature's fine print.
