Texas DOT Vehicle PRETTY DARNED CLEVER

This Texas DOT Vehicle (which turned out to be a Fake) was stopped by an alert DPS Trooper on I-10 between San Antonio and Seguin, TX

This illegal Mexican immigrant-dude cloned' a Texas DOT Truck and got busted smuggling drugs... I wonder how long they got away with it before they got busted?

Let's give them more of our welfare money, more of our Social Security money, and raise your taxes to fund their free-ride here in America . (If this same guy gets busted in Mexico, he is put away and never heard from again in your lifetime....)

    the thing that i think is bad about illegals getting caught for something like drug smuggling is that you the u.s. tax payer will have to pay for a lawyer to represent him! and even worse, he will be entitled to the same legal rights and protections as you are! i wonder how many people would go there and break the law if they had to be tried under their legal system and be sentenced under their laws? i know, i know, it doesnt just happen in the u.s., it happens here too, but the criminals love going to prison here, its a better way of life for them than being in their own country and being free! it just stinks!...this is only my opinion by the way...

    I would guess the trooper either noticed the truck didn't have Texas DOT government license plates or that the official DOT headwear is not the sombrero.

    Colors on the passenger side decal is wrong, antenna has a too-long loading coil, there's nothing on the dashboard to simulate working conditions, driver has tan on both sides of cheeks, intense smell of marjywanna from 300' back.
    nM DOT had a guy (real employee) that took his lightbar and installed it on his new Dodge truck (we all use Chevys)in order to get popped 3 miles N. of Las Cruces with over 200 lbs. of dope.
    Too easy to tell he was fakin' it!

    My hat is off to Jose! That is a clever ruse.
    By God he wasn't playing games, must have had 2,000 pounds of pot in that truck.

    We need to reinstitute hard labor and give Jose about ten years of it, then deport him.

    There's one obvious giveaway that it's bogus. Our Texas members here see enough TxDot vehicles rolling around that they should be able to spot it in a hurry, but there's something about it that would probably stand out as odd on other state's DOT vehicles, too.

    (FYI-You could spot this one if you met it on the opposite side of a divided highway. [;)])

    This one occurred several months ago and it actully wasn't an alert Trooper that keyed on this one. It was a TxDot employee who noticed things not quite right about it and dropped a dime.

    Most everything on the truck is a perfect replica of the real deal, even the license plates (those are Tx. exempt tags) and emblem, but not everything.

    This isn't the first time a bogus TxDot truck has been found smuggling and they all haven't been down close to the border region.

    Dead give away here in this state.

    The license plates are not state issued.

    All of the state issued plates on official cars and trucks here are plain green with white lettering.


    One good thing about it. Texas got a sightly used new truck in their fleet and the tax payers did not have to foot the bill fr it completely.

    Rumor has it that the illegal, Mexican smuggler couldn't resist stopping by the Social Security Office to pickup his monthly check for his claimed, bogus, disabililty. Social Security personnel couldn't understand how Jose Rodrigous was eligable for a disability claim check while still apparently working, driving a Texas DOT vehicle and therefore SS launched an investigation (the first one the launched in over 5 years, BTW).
