What can you tell me about them? Good or bad??

they are out of stock on almost every thing.dontseem to be able to get any barrel. 0 -
i have two one in 223 and one in 308 and i would put either up against a colt anyday.

Very good consistent quality. I prefer DPMS above all others. You can get just as good or better than Colt with DPMS or RRA for less money. 0 -
AR-type manufacturers are generally classified using a Tier 1, Tier 2, etc. system.
Tier 1 are those that manfacture using the US military approved technical data package, meaning they're the only ones that are milspec through and through. This TDP specifies every aspect, up to and including proofing procedures. The only ones currently manufactured that meet this quality standard are Colt and FN.
Others are assigned tier levels based upon their amount of milspec features.
I believe DPMS and Rock River fall down around either Tier 4 or 5 category, which is where most of the major AR-type manufacturers also sit. They're good stuff, but if ridden really hard they usually won't stand up as well as Colt or FN's. The closest you can get to these is LMT, which is considered a Tier 2 manufacturer.
All but the very lowest tiers are still perfectly good rifles for the general user. In short, unless you're deploying to an overseas combat zone the DPMS will probably serve you well.0
