Anybody from KY here dealt with the seller....

...BudsGunShop.com?? In Paris, Kentucky? They already have my FFL transfer dealer on file so I thought this would be quick. I sent them a MO in a 12"x18" USPS 2-3 day priority mailer which cost me 5 dollars to ship the piece of paper. Wanted to be sure it wouldn't get lost in the mail.
E-mailed them on the 23rd that I had sent the MO that day. Received no acknowledgement back from that e-mail.

I gave it some time. Finally, I e-mailed today, the 31st to see if my gun was sent yet and they say my order status is 'no payment'. They claim they haven't received payment yet.

Does anybody think a huge USPS 2-3 day envelope mailer with 5 dollars postage would take in excess of 7 days to get from northern Illinois to central Kentucky?

Me either.

So I'm supposed to believe that this MO either got lost in the mail or somebody's lying because the gun wasn't actually in stock.

People can say whatever they want about paypal but at least you don't have to put up with this. I love paypal.

    Bought a safe off of them and picked it up. I would do business with them anytime. Did you use delivery confirmation?

    Delivery confirmation, @ .35?, it's the best deal the USPS has.

    I could understand if a tiny envelope fell through the cracks but I paid 5 bucks to ship this huge envelope. This should have been automatic.

    You can pay for delivery confirmation 999 times and the 1000th time when you don't is when you need it.

    I'm not a fan of USPS either but they've never lost a letter or envelope for me.

    Well, Western Union tracking cost nothing and the voice machine just told me, "This item was cashed on Jan. 30th, 2008."

    Now, why would somebody lie about this?? If they didn't have it in stock, they didn't have it. Why lie about it?

    No. Should I assume somebody stole it? Wouldn't somebody have to prove they were a representative or owner of the store to be able to cash this?

    I deal with them some , Bud has been in business a very long time. His internet business is run seperate from the shop,call them and tell them what has happened ,they will help you. My 2 cents, next time buy a postal MO.

    Ask them if they cashed the MO or if you need to pursue it further. Either they'll fess up or keep lying. Either way, you'll know.

    I'd be very surprised if a postal worker was willing to give up 50-60k a year to see what kind of prize they could find in this envelope and then risk getting caught cashing it.

    Regardless of what happens here, it'll be a long time before I use a money order again. If ever.
    I also won't be paying sellers' 3% CC fees for them either. Tacked on to 30.00 transfer fees and shipping & insurance fees.

    "We apologize for the mistake. It seems it got a little confused in our accounting department. Your order will be shipping out today. Thanks for the business.

    Sorry for the delay. Stuff happens. Mail gets lost and delayed all the time. I once sent two envelopes to the same place on the same day. One was overnight and the other regular mail. Regular got there in two days while the overnight took three. Glad it's worked out for you.

    Posting complaints about auctions or buyers/sellers in the forum is a no-no.
