Britney Spears Rejects Visit From Dr. Phil

Troubled pop diva Britney Spears reportedly kicked television talk show host "Dr. Phil" McGraw out of her room at Cedars Sinai Hospital Saturday before being released from the facility later in the day, sources have told FOXNews.com.

According to sources, Spears responded angrily when the talk show host entered the room and demanded he leave at once.

McGraw told "Entertainment Tonight' and "The Insider" in a press release that Spears still needs psychological help despite being let out of the hospital.

"My meeting with Britney and some family members this morning in her room at Cedars leaves me convinced more than ever that she is in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention," McGraw told the programs.

"She was released moments before my arrival and was packing when I entered the room. We visited for about an hour before I walked with her to her car. I am very concerned for her," he said.

Spears was hospitalized under mysterious circumstances following a brief standoff with police when she refused to her children to her ex-husband Kevin Federline on Thursday evening.

On Friday, a court commissioner gave Federline full custody of the two children and suspended Spears' visitation rights following the incident.

    Britney needs serious rehab, and not a preacher of pop psychobabble.

    I look at the never-ending train wreck that is Britney with some amusement, but I feel sorry for the kids.

    If they turn out OK it will be a miracle, if not an outright fluke

    got to agree with earlier comments those poor kids. hopefully she can work things out. i really doubt it because with any addiction or problems you must want to change it or yourself. my sister and her husband assorted problems over the years my niece lives with me now. she gradjurates this year feel very lucky i was able to do this.

    Hehehe. Well said. How do you like the way "Dr." Phil blabbed about his "professional" opinion about her medical needs and his "professional" opinon of her condition.

    If any "Dr" tried to get into my hospital room, and then went on a press conference blabbing about me like he blabbed about her, especially since she kicked him out of her room, about her private situation, I would be mad as hell.

    While I despise them both, I actually kinda feel a little sorry for Brittany when compared to that loser, poser "Dr." Phil. Oh, BTW, I don't have a medical degree or anything, but I now prefer to also become a poser so please start calling me "Dr. Fox". Thank you.

    I feel very sorry for Ms. Spears. That girl is a human train wreck. I should hate to say this, but I honestly think that I could do what Dr. Phil does.

    Hey we all got problems and crosses to bear.

    Brittany happens to be a public figure and a lot of folks are making a lot of money off of her troubles. Kind of feel sorry for her. Believe she'd probably do a lot better if she got out of the public eye.

    Agree about Dr Phil, he's right there at the top of the list of folks who are getting rich off of other folk's problems. He's right there with Rosie O'Donnel and about as useful.

    Are you sure his Ph.D is in the medical field? Seems like I read long ago that yeah he has a Ph.D but it is not related to the medical field.

    No, Phil has a doctorate in psychology (Univ. of Texas, I think).

    It's Dr. Laura who misrepresents herself. She has a doctorate in phsyical education and pretends to be a psychologist.

    Spears needs help? Ya think??!!

    Forget about being told Kevin Federline is the better parent; when Paris Hilton has to tell you to keep your legs closed you KNOW you've got serious problems!
