After talking to the BATF this week at the show I understand about passing on my NFA items when the end comes. As I have been told only the exectutor of my estate can receive these items directly unless they are willed to others. My wife is my exectutor and I want my son to have these items. My wife would have to transfer them, pay the $200. for each, plus the #3 dealer fee. My question is, can these legal doc software programs let me make an attachment (I forget the proper term) to my existing will or do need to go to a lawyer again?

    If your will or trust leaves NFA items to a child there is no $200 tax.
    They would transfer taxfree on Form 5s.
    Your "BATF" agent was wrong.

    Thanks for the reply cp. I'll check-out Willmaker as these items are not specified in my current will. As I understand it, my wife, the exectutor, would have ownership (for free). To transfer them to my son would require the $200 plus a #3 dealer fee. What I need to do is will them to my son and I hope Willmaker can give me the docs.
