Joplin gunshow today

Had a great time. Met up with Highball, walked the entire show 3-4 times, great conversation, picked up some things I've been looking for for awhile, picked up some things I hadn't been looking for. Had some late lunch, (no Scotty, it wasn't "SPAM") talked some more and split ways.

If any of you gets the chance and Highball is up for it, take advantage of meeting him, great guy, and really understands alot of what I've questioned/pondered/considered/thought-to-be-true for quite sometime.

Had some great weather too, high 50's.

    Been a rough day..being called 'pops' by all and sundry...then the cute hostess telling me that 'you are a better man then I"....sheesh...

    I feel better about the world, after spending a day in Matwors company. The young pups ain't all about skirts, fast cars, and football..there is common sense out there. Enjoyed the trip, the conversation, and the show.

    Got to ride in a vehicle that is just about as long as a normal city block...and watch as that truck was tucked into a space that normally is reserved for ultra-compact little-bitty yuppiemobiles..I was impressed.
    Course, when she cranked off, all them valves,pistons,parts and pieces objecting to being squeezed and banged by diesel fuel reminded me of endless hours choking dust on a tractor...

    Plus just getting into it impressed me..I was concerned for awhile I was going to have to get climbing gear...[:D]

    That's not a bet, that's a sure thing. Matwor is salt of the earth and easy to talk with. I hope to see him again this spring at Tulsa, and any other GB'rs that show up.

    In old time words, Matwor would do to ride the river with. You would trust him to pull your butt out of the currant, if your horse went down...or out of the quicksand, with a thousand head of longhorn steers contesting your right to be there...
