I messed up.

We had a snowstorm yesterday followed by rain.

I plowed just before it turned to rain. My entire road is nothing but glare ice and downhill to the main road. When I left the house this morning I slid sideways down the whole road and into the main road. I could not slow down or stop, had it in 1st which helped to limit the speed a little.

Just made it back to the house, luckily made it up but the poor engine was doing some high revs. Tomorrow I will sand it, didn't have time to today.

I should have not plowed and then there would have been crusty snow for some traction. I had trouble making the decision to plow yesterday. I knew whichever I did would be wrong.

    The last weekend of October, a friend and his wife stopped by. He was telling me he had bought an AK 47 type rifle. He only had 1 mag with it. I went to my "lucky box" and pulled out 10 magazines. I don't have a rifles to fit them any longer. Nothing fancy mind you, just older Yugo surplus type mags. I handed them and a bayonet to him and said Merry Christmas. I just looked up what they are bringing on the auction side. Holy Cow! I guess that turned out to be a very nice Christmas gift.

    Every year we go to Dale Hollow lake Memerial weekend. This year I was in charge of getting the cabin. I got side track and didn't make the reservations last month.
    Now the cabin is rented. We get the same cabin every year for the last 5 years. I'm so bummed. Now I'm in a frantic trying to find a cabin. But even so we're going to have to deal with another cabin. Finding it, figuring what's near by. Are we going to be close to the others? Where on the lake are we? etc.
    I let everyone down and it really sucks. We go in a really large groups and the guys are going to want to be close to us, but I don't even know where we're going to stay.
    The other girls have there cabin and I'll bet the other two groups of guys do to. We're going to be a group of girls on our own and it's my fault.

    Before I sand tomorrow, I will try to get some pics. It is hard to imagine how much ice the road has and that I actually made it up.

    heck with the road,..get over in the snow for traction..at least the left front wheel that pulls in 4x4..ice is bad..Loko

    LOKO383, I plowed very wide and if I get into the snow, I may get in the ditch. Also before the main road I have a boat on the left that I do not want to hit. I have it there for sale.

    I was having fun until I couldn't stop before the main road. I can't see either way until at the very edge. I just had to hit the gas and hope noone was coming. The pucker factor at the end was high.
