A buddy of mine made a motar in engeineering school.You could put a soup can filled with cement in it.Talk about fun,we fired it out beind the house shot over 400 yards with it.It loaded just like a cannon with a little bit of blackpowder. 0 -

A buddy used to make something similar, a little smaller. Bored for a golf ball. Was great fun to fire off.
Couple of ounces of black powder, wad of tin foil (hey he was from West By God Virginia) and a golf ball. Big cloud of smoke and you'd never see the golf ball again. We fired the one I had for a while into into a dirt bank, made good sized holes in the ground, never did get ambitious enough to try to dig one up. They were at least 3' in the dirt.0 -
