RELIGIOUS FAMILY, NO HEAT, NO WATER, BREAKING THE

Law?....

Family of 9 (7kids), no water, no heat, he is not working, and wont look for a job from what it said...he is waiting for god to help...Says he is breaking the law...How?


On Dr. Phil today....at 5...Yes I am going to watch it...

    Funny thing...I have some long term plans to do something like that, only my plan is to use modern technology to live off the grid (like solar cells, wind generators, geothermal heat pump for heat/AC, maybe I'll even grow my own biodiesel)

    The whole "peak oil" thing has me just a bit concderned [;)]

    I'd like the solar and wind for electricity, however I'd rather get a horse or my feet for transportation. I would want to learn how to fix the solar and wind incase something breaks.

    Well, Praise the Lord, and pass the prozac! If I chose to live the lifestyle that allowed for no modern (read: labor saving) amenities, I would have to devote much more of my energy to meet basic human needs. Or perish.

    Again, they chose* their lifestyle. All the extra labor involved to maintain it is not a choice.

    They are hard working, or they don't survive. They have to be hard working. They are living in what, the mid nineteenth century?

    PS..I digress. Getting back to the Dr. Phil TV show, I left it without seeing the second half. My sister saw it through, and said that at the end of the airing of this episode, she was left with the distinct impression that child protective services have been notified. Joe

    Anyone who sits around waiting for God to provide is a fool or just lazy. (BTW-You can't keep citing the few bad examples as representative of a larger group. That's what the anti-gunners do to us and we don't like it, right?)

    What means does God have on Earth other than us? If you want God to provide for you then start working to provide for yourself. He helps, he never promised welfare.

    Many Renaissance artists did not sign their paintings believing that God worked through their hands so putting their own names on the art would be pretentious.

    Just another thread started by the floridahuans against religion.
    The vast majority of these "troll" threads have no purpose but to deride and inflame.
    When they use Dr. Phil as a resource, they don't even realize their own credibility might come into question.

    God provides for use by giving us the means to provide for ourselves. In this case God provided them with inteligence to obtain a college degree and obtain a good job. God also gives us free will. In this case they have used their free will to ignore what God has provided for them. In essince they are sining against God by not using the gifts he has given them.
