Good concealed carry gun for less than $500
I'm in Florida, have a CWP, and currently own a kel-tec p-3at. I carry it sometimes, but almost never carry with a round chambered. I just dont feel comfortable with the gun's internal safety feature. So I'm looking to sell the p-3at and add some money, for a max total of $500, for a new concealed carry gun. I like what Ive read about the glock 26. Could I get some other suggestions (remember, under $500 [:D]) please? thanks.

Under $500 will get you a pretty nice set up. If I was budget limited, I would buy a Bersa Thunder for about $250 and spend the rest on practice ammo and a good carry holster. 0 -
if your partial to glocks, try a glock 19, very compact, and Kastle Keep Guns, here in pinellas park has one for close to 400 give or take. 0 -

shoot everything you can get your hands on and go from there!
what works for me might not work for savage. what works for him might not work for suburban. people have different hand sizes, preffered grip angles tec.
im as big a glock fan as grd is a ria fan. they work for me. have been 100% reliable, fit my hands. they might not be the prettiest guns on the market but of memory serves, form follow function.0 -

SP 101 no round in the pipe and all you do is squeeze. But if you want a semi get the glock and dont think about it. 0 -
I picked up a Kahr CW9 9mm a while back and have been putting it thru the paces. I've found it to be easier to hide than most other 9mm's I've tried and shoots very well too. After stuffing it into every kind of holster I could find I figured out that it fits well in almost any 1911 belt holster. I currently carry it in a Bianchi snaplock #84 for a Colt Govt .45.
If you are looking for a good carry gun thats easy to hide and is well made, accurate, and as far as I can tell dependable, you should at least look at the Kahr CW9.0 -

Kahr CW9 or CW40....I bought a CW9 for summer carry and love it. Lightweight, very concealable and accurate. Put at least 200 rounds thru one before carry because Kahrs are tight as a drum. 0 -

S&W 642 - hammerless, whats the advantage over the 637 with hammer?
ruger sp 101 - really nice, would I be able to find one of these new for under $500 (retail)?
glock compact models - I'll research all of them. I like the glock durability/dependability
Springfield xp9 - is this a high quality manufacturer? new for less than $500 (retail)?
Taurus 85 - is this a high quality manufacturer?
kahr - I think they are out of my price range

Yes. Any XD is good. I prefer the .40.

Theses are the guns I carry along with a P3AT. Which one depends on the curcumstance and all are under $500.0 -

you are right shane, sorry I missed that. I was looking at the P line instead of the CW. gunbroker.com seller jaxshooters is in my town and they have sold a kahr cw40 here before.0
