Okay, Anyone Smart People Out There ??
I screwed up at work and need a solution to my problem ASAP. I cant tell my boss though. This is what happened....I work on the clothing industry. I was in charge of placing a big order of clothes and seeing that they were made correctly. However, I made a mistake and then the mistake was made bigger by the people who manufactured the clothes.
They made the clothing with the wrong label that denotes the size. Each piece of clothing comes with two labels inside the garment. One is a nylon label that is 1/2" x 1/2" that is sown into the piece. The other label is a paper label that is much smaller and only contains the size (XS,S,M,L). The problem is the paper size label is mixed up. I cant send the clothing back to India and the retail stores wont take the clothes being mislabeled.
My boss doesnt know about the problem yet because I wanted to exhause all my options first.
I was thinking I could cut out the small paper label and super glue in the correct size.
I cant have anyone here sew in the new labels due to the construction of the garment and the time and cost of doing it.

Glue the correct label over the incorrect one. It would have to be tidy, to not discourage the sale, but if it comes off after washing (and after purchase) who cares? The customer got the size he/she wanted.
Is the correct size on the nylon label? Is there room on it to stamp the size, so you can just get rid of the paper label?0 -
If it's a paper label, make paper stickers the same size and stick them over the size shown. Don't make a big deal out of it and no-one will ever know. 0 -

the nylon label has no size on it. you are right about the customer though, they wont care if the size label comes off after purchase. i just need it to look okay for the retail store and to also have the store know which size it is.0 -

Yes I do; as a previous employer I suggest you go to the boss and tell him you made an error. It is your responsibility to tell them about the error and ask for their help in minimizing the cost to the company.
